Painting with Oils. In two sessions Lisa will focus on painting theories and techniques as you work on a piece of your choosing. You will receive individual advice and instruction as well as some group instruction.
You will need to bring: reference material, a canvas or two, table top easel, odorless turpentine or odorless mineral spirits, linseed oil, a variety of brushes, palette or palette paper and paper towels. Other suggested supplies are: fast dry medium for oil and canvas paper or canvas boards for trying different textures and techniques.
(Register for 09/08 & 09/15 sessions separately.)
Suggested Oil Paint Tubes as follows: White, Paynes Gray, Yellow Ochre, Cad Yellow Med, Cad Red Med, Quinacridone Red (or other cool red), Ultramarine Blue and Pthalo Blue. Optional Colors as follows: Burnt Umber, Raw Umber, Viridian Green, Cad Orange, Dioxazine Purple, Burnt Sienna and Black.
