Mannerisms: A habitual gesture or way of speaking or behaving.

Seek out references or better yet take your own photos of people in the midst of speaking, expression, gesture, contemplation etc. In the workshop I will encourage you to imagine the voice of your subject(s), the sound of their breath, their intonation, and their mannerisms as it relates, and to paint from that perspective.
