Materials List

Bill will be using charcoal, conte pastels and white chalk in his instruction.  He will be using simple newsprint paper, but some drawing will be done on a mid-toned drawing paper such as Strathmore 400 or 500.  Paper size should be a minimum of 18 x 24, while 22 x 30 is preferred.

A toned grey of beige paper is best for developing form.

Participants should bring drawing instruments that they are most comfortable, with the following as a suggestion:

Graphite Pencils 3B to 5B

Charcoal Pencils or Sticks, Medium and Soft

Conte' Pastel Pencils (color 009 Black)

Generals White Caulk Pencils

Sharpeners

Erasers (gum and stick)

Newsprint paper

Strathmore 400 or 500 Grey or beige Toned, 18" x 24" or 22" x 30"

Any Other Materials which participant wishes to apply
