Have you ever wanted to learn how watercolorists master the beautiful glowing light in paintings? In watercolor, you have to leave the light, not add it. It only seems mysterious. This course will teach multiple techniques to plan and craft watercolor paintings, to really keep it bright and light. While we’re waiting for the days to get longer, let’s paint a little sunshine and glow.

    4 week series only

    Learn how to not let water be the boss of you and create beautiful art!  This is a great class to register with a bestie! 

    Materials list:

    • Paper: 140lb cold press watercolor paper 6x9 or larger - 100% cotton preferred 
    • Brushes
    •  Round 8 or 10
    •  Flat 1/2” or 3/4” 
    • Paint:
    • Cobalt or ultramarine blue 
    • Cadmium red medium or alizarin crimson
    • Cadmium yellow medium or new gamboge 
    • Palette: with areas for paint and ample mixing space
    • Pencil and kneaded eraser
    • Optional but nice to have:
    •  Liner brush
    •  1/2” dagger or rigger brush 
    •  Masking fluid
    •  Burnt sienna
    •  Yellow ochre
    •  Sap green or hookers green 

    Maximum class size: 16
    Minimum class size: 6
